If this sounds like a culture you’d like to be a part of, Bobby Jones Links is hiring for Banquet Set-Up. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Caring for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations.
  • Primary responsibility for the set up rooms for banquets, events, meetings, etc. per the specification of a banquet events order; break down, clean-up and reset for the next event.
  • Assisting servers and runners during events, transporting tables and equipment, tending to minor maintenance issues and reporting more significant maintenance issues to management.
  • Tending to the general cleanliness and organization of the entire Clubhouse, including parking lots, grounds, service and storage areas as well as dining and banquet rooms.
  • Routine trash removal, interior and exterior cleaning and deep cleaning.
  • Helping assemble temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures and assisting audio-visual personnel in setting up equipment like speakers and monitors. Helping transport food, beverages, decorations and equipment to an off-premises event location.

Required Skills

  • Multitasking, reasoning, problem-solving, and paying attention to detail are desirable, along with the ability to maintain poise in fast-paced, high-stress situations.
  • Strong people skills and a desire to please customers.
  • A High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the food service or hospitality industry.
  • Driving a company vehicle will be required and a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR record must be verifiable at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements include frequent bending, standing, and walking, pushing, pulling and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

The Houseman may be required to work outside during all weather conditions
