Red Wing Aviation is currently hiring Licensed A&P Avionics Technicians in Bay City, WI.

• Sign-on Bonus – Up to $10,000 based on experience

Avionics Technician Responsibilities:

• Effectively troubleshoot and repair all avionics equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical systems on aircraft
• Utilize technical knowledge to repair aircraft discrepancies efficiently, while properly documenting all work performed.
• Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies.
• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.
• Install electrical components, equipment, or systems.
• Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
• Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Install electrical components, equipment, or systems.
• Lay out work according to specifications.
• Analyze test or performance data to assess equipment operation.
• RWAC AAIP avionic checks.
• Altimeter and transponder recertification.
• RVSM recertification.

Additional Duties:

• Organize work space and environment.
• Account for personal and company tools.
• Utilize knowledge of FARs to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft.

Avionics Technician Qualifications:

• Avionics Technician license – FCC (Preferred, not required)
• A&P License preferred but not required
• 3-5 years’ experience as an Avionics Technician

• High School Diploma, GED; Bachelors
• Minimum three (3) years avionics installation experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications
• Computer skills and general software knowledge necessary
• Must pass airport background check
• Must have 2+ years of avionics installation experience on aircraft that range from high-performance single engine to mid-sized jets.
• Must be able to conduct and interpret functional tests of avionics/electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, manufacturer’s installation manuals and engineering drawings.

• Must have experience in troubleshooting avionics systems.
• Experience installing cabin entertainment systems and WiFi systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $53.00 per hour
