Position Title: Sales Manager- (Auto)

Position Description:

The Sales Manager - Auto will ensure the profitability of the Automotive Dealership by planning, motivating, and coordinating the dealership’s management through leadership and solid business practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.

· Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees, always ensuring proper staffing.

· Ensures that each customer is greeted as quickly as possible.

· Implements and maintains a prospect tracking and follow-up system.

· Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.

· Communicates with new-vehicle and used-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.

· Conducts sales training meetings as directed by the general sales manager.

· Forecasts aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives for individual salespeople and provides them with the support to meet these goals.

· Assists in development of improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives.

· Ensures salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating.

· Recommends for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet dealership standards.

· Contacts new owners within 24 hours of delivery to ensure complete satisfaction with sales and delivery process. Addresses any concerns or complaints immediately.

· Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.

· Maintains and monitors CSI as per manufacturer requirements.

· Maintains professional appearance.

· Attends managers meetings as requested.

· Other tasks assigned by Management.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

· 5+ years minimum dealership sales and supervisory experience.

· Ability to work with others in a complex matrix structure.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills.

· Ability to understand profit and loss statements.

· Ability to manage large, diverse staff.

· Ability to work a (6) day work week.

· Ability to work weekends and holidays.

· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

· Computer and internet savvy.

· Proactive in nature.

· Ability to plan and organize daily selling activities.

· Ability to secure new business with daily follow up.

· Experience in working with CRM's and follow up.

· Experience providing quality customer service.

· Strong team leader and team player.

· Strong negotiation skills.
