Tryon Auto Repair in Charlotte, NC is looking for one auto technician to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 5701 Orr Rd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

*Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly *Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined *Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires *Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings *Disassemble and reassemble parts *Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective *Work on traditional mechanical components, such as engines, transmissions, and drive belts *Must be familiar with a growing number of electronic systems *Repair air conditioner systems, and install parts such as compressors, condensers, and controls *Adjust brakes, replace brake rotors and pads, and make other repairs on brake systems *Align wheels and repair steering mechanisms and suspension systems *Work on gear trains, couplings, hydraulic pumps, and other parts of transmissions *Extensive knowledge of computer controls, the ability to diagnose electrical and hydraulic problems, and other specialized skills are needed to work on these complex components *Use their extensive knowledge of engine management, emission, fuel, electrical, and ignition systems to diagnose issues that prevent engines from performing efficiently

Qualifications

*Previous experience as an auto mechanic a plus *Excellent verbal communication skills *Knowledge of tools and equipment being used to repair vehicles *Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills

Schedule

*Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Only 9 hours a day). Weekly rotating schedule *Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM *Technicians may choose to work 5 or 6 days a week - whatever they prefer

Salary

• Paid is based on production with a daily base salary. The rate commission increases as production does
