ATFI seeks an
Associate Laboratory Technician to provide technical and facility support for a number of programs focused on advanced materials and coatings. ATFIs activities include developing and testing ceramic materials and coatings. Examples of Associate Laboratory Technician work include processing of chemical formulations, slurries, coating application (spray, paint, etc.), and various laboratory scale testing. A technician`s work may also include metallography, mechanical, and electrical equipment maintenance and calibration, and test setup. This role is ideal for someone with automotive, electrical, or manufacturing experience looking to expand their knowledge and gain experience working in advanced materials or aerospace and defense.
What you will be doing as an
Associate Laboratory Technician:
- Perform laboratory work such as spray coating, heat treatments, materials testing, and operating laboratory equipment
- Follow SOPs, take detailed laboratory notes, and collect and input data
- Routine organization and cleaning laboratories & glassware
- Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment

Associate Laboratory Technician:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details.
- Exercise laboratory safety practices
- Diligent work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Strong commitment to quality and integrity
- Strong writing/note taking skills
- Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people and flexible tasks/responsibilities
- Basic working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
- Has reliable transportation
