The Associate Director of Language Services for the Americas will help lead Language Services across our US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina offices. This role will partner closely with our Global Leadership for Language Services. You will need experience within the language services, translation, and transcreation industries. You will help your department support the Transcreation process from brief through final delivery in collaboration with our many departments. This role requires good communication, attention to detail, organization, innovation, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contract for setup and onboarding clients
  • Define resourcing approaches and refine existing processes
  • Supervise, mentor and delegate to Transcreation Team Leads, Transcreation Account Managers, and Account Executives
  • Partner with the Global Head of Language Services and Global MD of Language Services on new business, team structure, new strategies and more
  • Work closely with Client Services teams
  • Serve as main point of escalation for Americas
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk management and escalate resolutions
  • Internal budget reviews, forecasting, reconciliation
  • Align and execute full compliance on financial procedures and policies
  • Set and manage client expectations deliverables and timeframes
  • Recommend solutions for client issues
  • Identify areas for improvement of the existing workflow and processes which could benefit Hogarth and/or the client
  • Demonstrate ability to write, prepare and present documents, presentations and reports that are tailored to each client's, style, preference, knowledge and experience
  • Provide regular status reports to clients
  • Provide agendas and detailed contact reports following all client meetings
  • Lead inter-company coordination between Print, Digital, Broadcast, etc
  • Consistently deliver against all contractual obligations include SLA's and KPI's
  • Help develop initiatives to maximize profitability
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Hogarth business model, services and technology
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the internal organizational structure - who to go to for all eventualities

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience within Language Services, Translation, or Transcreation departments
  • Experience supervising and managing a team of over 4 people
  • Experience managing relationships with large clients and key internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing enterprise level accounts preferred
  • Deep knowledge of localization technology, tools and industry trends
  • Seasoned budgeting and finance forecasting skills
  • Excellent networker and has an eye for business development opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent oral and written English plus additional languages always welcome
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, client focused and proactive
  • Team player
  • Strong IT literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Sound knowledge of Trados or other CAT Tools

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
