Our Claims Strategy & Performance Management team is looking to hire an Associate Data Analyst to join the team in a remote work arrangement or in Worcester, MA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This Associate Data Analyst will be responsible for data collection, analysis, documentation, monthly reporting and communication of results and findings. Associate Data Analyst usually assess the needs of the assignment by directly interacting with management, leadership, technology, the business, and the customer.

The Data Analyst is a results-oriented individual who thrives on identifying actionable insights, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with others to develop growth ideas and creating transparency on the process and outcomes.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Be responsible for data collection, development, analysis, documentation, and communication of business needs and results in supporting the claims organization across all lines of business.
  • Our team is responsible for the development of Cost Benefit Analysis (CBAs) for all initiatives aligned with achieving expense saving targets of the claims organization and the Associate Data Analyst will be instrumental is this development.
  • Be accountable for tracking the benefits after an initiative launches, assuring we are getting the anticipated benefit, while communicating these results with claims leadership and business partners.
  • Perform monthly data pulls associated with recurring reporting and analysis.
  • Perform ad hoc data pulls and analysis to further evaluate monthly results, answer questions about data nuances and help business partners better understand results and performance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or certification, specialized training or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience
  • Proficient with various Applications – i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SQL.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and internal/external customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to perform tasks with limited concrete examples and guidance; successful in working in the “grey”
  • Takes independent actions and calculated risks; Asks for and offers help when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
