This position supports the Manager of Controls Engineering & Facilities Projects. Assigned tasks are conducted in compliance with all Company and Quality System procedures and policies.
Essential Duties & Resposibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities
  • Generate and release Equipment Manuals and other related procedures such as Set Up, Test, Measurement, etc.
  • Generate purchase requisitions, design, tool room, and other requisitions, MWR’s, and documentation to conduct project activities. Obtain technical information needed for programming/troubleshooting existing and new controls and machines
  • Train operators, technicians, and associate engineers on all aspects of new machine/controls operation
  • Provide control troubleshooting support to Maintenance/Engineering/Operations Organizations. Perform investigations and diagnostic activities to resolve equipment and process issues
  • Obtain technical information needed for programming/troubleshooting existing and new controls and machines
  • Generate electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical/similar software
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Electronics, or related discipline, or related expience
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Basic Mechanical ability
  • Soft “people” skills
  • Must be Team oriented
  • Skilled in Computer Aided Design systems
  • Self-motivated
  • 2+ years related experience or training
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, as well as PPC’s ERP and document control systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 Years design and build experience
  • Experience working in a GMP environment
  • Strong motor drive system knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, and SDS sheets
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations
