Associate, Capital & Risk Management Job at SageSure
Position Narrative (Overview):
SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, managing general underwriter, is seeking an Associate to join our team. The Associate will help drive capital and risk management—and the position will play a key role in building and deploying quantitative models for senior leadership to make well informed decisions regarding insurance risk levels, reinsurance and capital structures. Most of this role's time will involve remote work. The role will report to a Seattle based Assistant Vice President which will require a Seattle presence and attending local meetings.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting executive decision making by developing financial models.
- Participating in strategic reviews of insurance portfolios and related carrier capital.
- Developing and deploying decision tools for evaluating portfolio decisions
- Systematizing and supporting the evaluation of proprietary, rating agency and regulatory capital requirements.
- Developing strong subject matter expertise and quantitative skills relating to catastrophe risk.
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis
- Intermediate (or better) Excel skills, with a strong interest in further developing these skills.
- Strong initiative and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to communicate orally and in writing regarding financial performance.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Experience in insurance, accounting or probabilistic risk analysis.
- A degree from a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors or Masters in: Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
SageSure carefully considers many factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Associate, Capital & Risk Management position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Associate, Capital & Risk Management position is $100,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
