ANALYST / ASSOCIATE

Grouse Ridge Capital is looking to hire an Analyst / Associate to join our team. We are looking for an ambitious individual who is passionate about entrepreneurship. A MBA graduate who is obsessed with problem-solving, has a deep intellectual curiosity, and strong EQ.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Working closely with the senior team on a wide variety of investment opportunities will allow the candidate to gain diverse knowledge across various investment areas.

ABOUT GROUSE RIDGE CAPITAL

Grouse Ridge Capital, founded in 2012, is a single-family office with a diverse investment vehicle that focuses on Private Equity and Venture Capital investments. Our Private Equity strategy pursues bolt-on and expansion opportunities as well as new platforms in asset-intensive industries related to civil construction and infrastructure, manufacturing, steel, and heavy industrials. On the other hand, a generalist approach to our Venture Capital investment thesis allows us to remain industry agnostic while we focus on pre-seed to seed stage startups anywhere in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business / pricing model, and financial modeling / deal structuring).

Perform in-depth research to support new and existing investment thesis development, including producing written research/analysis, sector presentations, and economic viability.

Monitor and provide ongoing support with management teams at our portfolio companies to identify key near-term, medium-term, and long-term initiatives.

Utilize solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interoperate data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements.

Support additional strategic projects and perform other duties as assigned in coordination with the Senior team.

Importantly, we expect this role to expand over time as the successful candidate demonstrates an ability to take on more responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience.
• MBA or Master's Degree in related field is required.
• Work independently, display leadership / C-Suite potential.
• Executive communication skills both, writing and presentation skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Strong understating of accounting and finance.
• Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
