Looking for part-time workers for after-school childcare.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing and facilitating programs and activities for youth ages 6-18
- Ensure a safe and positive climate at all times
- Implement Boys and Girls Club programming as directed, maintain a high level of enthusiasm, and be supportive and encouraging to all children participating
- Demonstrate the ability to diffuse problem situations between children
- Keep accurate records, including time sheets, program attendance, behavior/injury reports, etc.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Will consider individuals who have taken early childhood/child care classes
- Preference will be given to those who meet the education requirements to be an assistant teacher in a licensed childcare facility, per DCF 251 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers (school-age only program), page 11 (Responsibilities and qualifications of staff)
