       The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management beginning in the 2023-24 academic year. The Management faculty offer courses as part of the core for all undergraduate and graduate business majors as well as an undergraduate major in management and an undergraduate major in human resources management.
      
      
        The successful candidate is expected to teach human resource management-related courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A secondary interest in organizational behavior or leadership is desired. The successful candidate is expected to bring a unique and innovative educational experience to students through classroom teaching and mentorship. As such, there is the opportunity for student engagement through mentoring student activities outside the classroom. The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes on the main campus in Vermillion, SD, online, and in Sioux Falls, SD. Duties include an annual teaching load of six courses.
      
      Required: A Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or related field or DBA in Human Resource Management or related field from an accredited business school. Candidates who are ABD will be considered. Other requirements are proficiency in oral and written communication, and enthusiasm for engagement, service, and the public good.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with a Ph.D., DBA, or MBA from an AACSB-International accredited business school are preferred. Related professional experience in human resource management is preferred. Experience in teaching human resource management is preferred.
