Description:

The Company shall employ Employee as Assistant Equipment Manager of the Firebirds. Employee shall report to the General Manager (“Supervisor”) of the Company, or his designee. Employee’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, performing the following duties:

At the direction of the Supervisor:

  • Render services as customarily associated with being a Assistant Equipment Manager of an AHL member Club as designated by the Supervisor and shall serve to the best of his ability in the performance of such services.
  • Assist the Head Equipment Manager in his duties with the Firebirds.
  • Organize, repair, and maintain all Firebirds’ hockey equipment.
  • Order all hockey equipment and dressing room supplies when required.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of Firebirds’ hockey equipment, apparel, and dressing room supplies.
  • Sharpen Firebirds Players’ skates as required.
  • Coordinate and maintain all laundry requirements for the Firebirds and visiting teams.
  • Maintain a clean and professional dressing room.
  • Support the Management Team as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Prior experience with equipment organization, repair, and maintain for a sporting venue or franchise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, a resourceful problem solver, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Excellent customer service and supervisory skills
  • Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Office applications
