Assistant Concierge Manager Job at Deaconess Abundant Life Communities

Newbury Court has two concierge desks that are open 24 hours a day – 365 days per year. The Assistant Concierge Manager is the first point of contact for residents and staff members in all matters related to the operation of the concierge desks. This person takes part in creating monthly schedules, as well as assuring coverage for every shift. The supervision component includes leading, monitoring, motivating and inspiring the team; providing guidance and support.

Some responsibilities of this position inlcude, but are not limited to:
- All functions described in the Concierge position
- Onsight Manager overseeing operations and staff when Concierge Manager is not on campus.
- Help develop new guest service measures alongside the Concierge Manager to promote an elevated Resident Experience by recognizing special occasions and consistent resident & guest requests
- Weekly meeting with the Concierge Manager on operations of the department
- Recruitment, and participation in the interview process and training of new Concierge
- Recommends performance improvement for Concierges and completes annual reviews with the Concierge Manager
- Monthly Schedules- handles any last-minute requests for shift changes, finds coverage when someone calls out, is available over the phone in case staff have any questions or issues, covers the desk on non-regular working hours when unable to find coverage. Ultimately responsible for coverage of both desks 24/7 with the help of the Concierge Manager
- Work with Finance for month-end reconciliation.
- Oversight of our SARA system which is the Emergency Call system for Independent Living Residents
- May require work at the concierge desk to fill shifts and/or cover breaks
- Review of existing standards and procedures in order to maintain Concierge Manual up to date
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-5 years in office, reception or customer service. Supervisory experience preferred
