The Cardiovascular Unit of the University of Vermont Medical Center and the Department of Medicine of the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont seeks a BC/BE cardiologist. This position will be an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway. We are seeking a candidate who has a background and interest in general cardiology. This position will have at least 90% effort dedicated to Porter Medical Center that is 30 minutes south of Burlington, VT. The remainder of effort can be devoted to clinical care at the University of Vermont Medical Center. At Porter Medical Center, clinical responsibilities will be primarily ambulatory consultation and follow-up. Interpretation of cardiac testing and inpatient consultation is divided between group members. The role at UVMMC will be to oversee the inpatient cardiology team that is comprised of fellows, residents and medical students. The optimal candidate will have a strong commitment to outstanding clinical care and the education of trainees.
