Under the general direction of the Territory Manager, performs a wide range of food protection and pest management oriented tasks. Coordinates and directs area operations and personnel as well as ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

You will…
  • Maintain high customer retention rates and trust by responding to customer requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Serve as a problem solver for your customers by utilizing the in-depth training provided to decide on the most efficient and best overall pest solution for each customer's needs
  • Possess a high degree of attention to detail, work independently and as a team and be self-motivated
  • Resolve personnel conflicts as they arise; train and develop personnel
  • Coordinate and implement the policies and procedures for area operation and personnel; evaluate efficiency of operations
  • Maintain accuracy of the customer log books
  • Meet or exceed goals as determined in conjunction with the Territory Manager
  • Coordinates and directs appropriate personnel to assist in daily operations
  • Resolves personnel conflicts when necessary; trains and develops personnel
  • Serves as regular contact with customers
  • Assists with all safety and associated governmental regulations and programs in territory

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Effective sales and marketing abilities
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective personnel management skills
  • Ability to concentrate in diverse work settings
  • Effective and efficient data entry skills
  • Ability to obtain medical approval for CDL
  • Ability to obtain medical approval to wear respirator

Physical Demands / Working Environment:
We require a good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen. Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:
  • Moderate travel required
  • Moderate exposure to confined spaces
  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures from -20 to 150 F
  • Ability to ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs (2-12) with SCBA within 20 minutes
  • Occasional kneeling
  • Long and irregular hours
  • Ability to ride man-lift
  • Frequent crawling and walking
  • Ability to push/pull or roll large cylinders weighing up to 260 lbs.

Knowledge/Skills
  • Proficiency with PC’s and computer software and applications, including Word and Excel
  • Broad knowledge with fumigation and pest management equipment
  • Broad knowledge and experience related to pest management and fumigation

Education/ Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Entomology or a related food quality protection field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the performance of operations activities preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Licenses
  • Ability to obtain CDL license with hazmat endorsement; proof of insurability and safe driving record
  • Ability to obtain state pest management license

Safety Hazards
  • Possible exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals
  • Field operations with possible unique hazardous condition
