Job Duties:
- Responsible for supervising staff in the commercial appraisal unit, particularly in the absence of the Commercial Property Appraisal Supervisor.
- Responsible for receiving and investigating complaints about property assessments, making reappraisals, and submitting recommendations at hearings.
- Coordinates informal reviews including supervision of the phonebank, responding to property owners and employee questions, and setting appointments.
- Prepares and supports technical cases for the Board of Equalization hearings and State Tax Commission hearings; including defending appraisals appealed to the Board of Equalization and/or State Tax Commission.
- Supervises the commercial appraisal staff, on an as-needed basis, performing data collection, new construction appraisals, data entry and end of the month occupancy checks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Four years of supervisory experience in appraisals or related field.
- Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver's License.
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment drug screen/background check.
