We are excited to share our Digital Technology team is continuing to expand to meet growing business needs across the world. We are hiring an Application Analyst at our global headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

This is a new role for a junior Application Analyst who will be responsible for working with our key vendor, OpenText-GXS, to assist with managing the vendor relationship. This includes working closely with the vendor Service Manager, providing requirements definition to the vendor Implementation Team, providing direction to the vendor Managed Services Support Team, and working with Air Products colleagues on implementations and support requests.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
  • Management of small implementation projects involving EDI mapping and proprietary file transfers.
  • Assist in connectivity requirements gathering for new interfaces, working closely with Air Products business and external trading partners to define requirements and submit requests to OpenText-GXS using their vendor request processes.
  • Work with DT colleagues to create a testing strategy to ensure connectivity functionality is tested prior to production deployment.
  • Understand business requirements and document post implementation support process (i.e., Wiki articles).
  • Assist with and maintain existing interface connections, resolve incidents and problem management, meet SLAs, and escalate as needed.
  • Assist with the update process for connection certificate renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to inactivate trading partners.
  • Lead GXS vendor meetings to review outstanding implementation requests and issues.
  • Understand development lifecycle, project management, EDI environments, and connectivity options.
  • Document monthly usage based on GXS reports.
  • Attend monthly GXS vendor meetings.
  • Perform review of user access to vendor portal tools and provide documentation to support SOX controls.
  • Understand the quarterly SOX Control process.
  • Annually review vendor SOC report and submit End User Control documentation to Air Products internal audit team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience required.
  • Experience and/or exposure to general IT system development, EDI implementations, and project management methodologies.
  • Highly collaborative, accountable and results driven individual who also can work independently at times.
  • Ability to work with vendors to set priorities and learn and utilize their portal tools to effectively work with the vendor.
  • Ability to handle conflicting and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and closure.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with good analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively across global teams.
