The Applications Specialist will support the CIN's IT & Analytics team. The individual will be responsible for working with end users to understand clinical and business workflows, document functional requirements, execute test scripts and user acceptance testing.The Application Specialist will also provide continued frontline support in the use of Cerner's Population Health Management suite of products (HealtheRegistries, HealtheAnalytics, HealtheEDW, and HealtheCare). End-users will include clinical providers and all levels of clinical and operational support staff. The Application Specialist for ensuring all CIN end-users have the knowledge and ability to successfully navigate the entire suite of Cerner's Population Management products in a manner that enhances efficiency and promotes quality in patient care.
- Licensed Medical Assistant, LPN or RN.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a physician practice or care management setting.
- Experience translating business objectives to system requirements.
- Working knowledge of the Electronic Health Record and/or other clinical information support systems.
- Demonstrated understanding or clinical work flows.
- Excellent communication,decision making, and problem solving skills.
- Highly detail oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-based enviornment.
- Advanced trouble shooting and multi-tasking skills.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, prepare, and conduct "Train the Trainer" education and training sessions.
- Collaborate with education department to develop and revise the training curriculum and supporting materials.
- Triage, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems through to resolution.
- Define and implement changes to the Personnel Tool to better align the structure of providers and organizations to improve results of the CIN quality and performance reports and dashboards.
- Perform ongoing maintenance of Personnel Tool to complete provisioning of end users to application level (Healtheregistries, HealtheAnalytics, HealtheEDW, and HealtheCare.)
- Responsible for providing technical assistance and support for all incoming queiries and issues.
- Identify opportunities for process and quality improvement.
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
- Provide excellent customer service.
