Reports To: Director, Supply Chain Operations

Job Description
Position Summary:
Primary central role in Vallarta Supermarkets is responsible for the overall management of Production Planning, CAO, PI, and Shrink systems inclusive of development, enhancements, management, and performance insights.

Individuals will be required to partner with stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, Forecasts are representative of expected sales, and all systems requirements are managed and maintained. Individuals will monitor store performance against expected results and create action plans for applicable stakeholder/s.

20%- Design and Development:
  • Responsible for providing support for the design & implementation of Production Planning, Store Ordering Processes (current state and future state), Receiving processes (including future state EDI), Inventory management (including future state PI and CAO), and Promotional merchandise ordering processes.
  • Solution delivery on time.
20%- Program Execution:
  • Support role for Operational Excellence, and achievement of defined program KPIs.
  • Management of all systems supporting the Supply chain in-stock position, product quality, and efficient inventory utilization.
  • Monitor, support, and ensure all systems are maintained and performing up to expectations.
  • In Stock Position.
  • Item Availability.
  • Product Quality.
  • Inventory Targets.
40%- Effective Communication:
  • Ensure open communication regarding the planning, execution, and results of all Supply Chain initiatives across the company.
  • Communicate all reporting requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Weekly Communication with Ownership, Executive Leadership, SVP/VP Operations & Merchandising, and other key function Leads.
10%- Problem Solve:
  • Anticipate needs or events and their implications to the business; provide direction and focus where required; gather information needed to solve problems and make informed decisions in a deliberate manner.
  • Develop innovative solutions and new ways of thinking about solutions, problems, and opportunities; share information in ways that promote, clarify, and keep people informed.
  • Analyze trends and implement improvements to address common issues; collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure best-in-class execution.
  • Identify and guide resolution to performance shortfalls through direct involvement or coaching others. Establish training and processes to address performance issues or errors.

10%- Pulse on the Program:
  • Spends some amount of time in the Stores understanding challenges and opportunities as well as brainstorming ways to improve current business processes.
  • All operational metrics (TBD).

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or business experience equivalent
  • Ability to interpret financial reports and develop action plans to improve financial metrics
  • Ability to develop and analyze reports and performance indicators and establish priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and partner with store team members and management to effect immediate changes as required.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, problem solve, multi-task, and deliver with good time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of team members and management to resolve operational problems and ensure sales and performance goals are met or exceeded.
  • Customer service skills and the ability to resolve complaints, inquiries, and operational errors.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.

Physical Demands:
  • May also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
  • This position may require travel and overnight stays from time to time.
  • Typical physical demands or activities include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and walking.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt level position; the schedule would be based on a business necessity and coordinated through the reporting supervisor.
