ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the plant foreperson with the operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Ability to maintain and operate a Front-End Loader and Skid Steer Loader safely and efficiently.
• Ability to access all plant areas to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Ability to follow directions.
• General understanding of Mine Safety Health Regulations.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Individuals wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as required by OSHA and/or MSHA and company policy. Protective equipment that may be required for this position includes, but is not limited to Personal Flotation Device, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, High Visibility Safety Apparel, Fall Protection, Gloves, Welding Gloves, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Welding Aprons, Welding Helmet, Welding Shield, occasional use of Heat Resistant Apparel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
