The Admissions Registered Nurse RN is directly responsible for completing the nursing admission process to include assessment, care plan and education and customer service focus for patients and families upon arriving at facility. The Admission Nurse is responsible for evaluating and prioritizing the admissions based on patient need and the needs of the unit/facility.

Admissions RN-Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

Obtain, enter, research and clarify as needed orders for new admissions.

Complete Drug Regimen review assessments.

Review referrals and clarify clinical concerns with the referring hospital and facility management.

Receive admission calls and referrals on weekends when scheduled to work and contact the DON to review questionable referrals.

Assist with room set up and getting admission contracts signed.

Obtain photos for new patients and upload them into PCC.

Assist with COVID testing as needed.

One year prior nursing experience preferred.
