Administrative Assistant 3 Job at Metropolitan Development Council
The Administrative Assistant 3 performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and coordinative duties depending on program needs. Administrative Assistant jobs are interrelated to provide an increase in skills, application of skills and advancement depending on individual progress and program needs.
What you will do:
- Works with program management and prepares program administrative procedures.
- Prepares written work procedures for program staff, including forms and other correspondence
- Prepares and distributes various periodic reports for use within MDC and for dissemination to funding sources and regulatory bodies
- Reviews correspondence and prepares responses independently, drafts memoranda, agenda and other materials
- Conducts studies and prepares reports
- Provides coordinative support for new programs from the time of receipt of approval from the grantor or funding source, to selection of staff to include physical location of program office, to establishing records and making reports, to establishing and administrating programmatic procedures
- Analyzes the programs monthly financial statements and makes recommendations for fiscal decisions
- Coordinates administrative and accounting matters with other programs and MDC staff as required
- Collects and evaluates data and other information on operational matters for program management
- Completes and forwards requisitions for office supplies and other materials to Administration
- May be designated responsible for office petty cash fund
- May interpret program's purpose to the community
- Other duties as assigned
What you will need:
- A certificate of completion of computer course work from an accredited academic or vocational technical institute and minimum of one year progressively responsible clerical experience
- The incumbent must have a valid Washington State Driver's License as required by the program
