The Activity Assistant is responsible for conducting and assisting the resident’s daily activities. Guides activity programs to encourage socialization, provides entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment, and improves daily living skills.

Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure: None.

Experience: None.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact or educate residents. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, clinical staff and providers. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be resident/customer service oriented, projecting professionalism and socio-economic and cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: None.

Licensure: Valid Mississippi Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.

Experience: Previous experience as a recreation or activity assistant.
