Assist the Activity Director in planning, directing and coordinating appropriate resident activities and programs. The aim of this department is to provide physical, social, emotional, and spiritual outlets and support to the residents/patients while maintaining the self-respect, dignity and physical safety of each resident.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs.
- Observe resident attendance, behavior, and degree of involvement during programs.
- Encourage resident participation as deemed appropriate.
- Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
- Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
- Assist in arranging for transportation for outings.
- Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the activity department.
- Perform administrative duties, i.e. completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
- Previous experience with geriatrics desired. High school graduate or equivalent. Experience in music and/or art a plus. C.N.A preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.25 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:
- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
