THE PROGRAM
We're looking for students to join our Internship Program who are obsessively curious about 'what's next'. You'll get hands on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will complete a specific project in 10-12 weeks with us, while integrating into your team. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career!
Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting a targeted look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our interns are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll network with other interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future!
Timeframe - June-August 2023
THE ROLE
Responsibilities: Develop software tools for acquisition, visualization, and manipulation of a standardized suite of measurements that characterize loudspeaker transducers. Job activities will mostly be programming, so computer skills are of utmost importance, but experience with or interest in measurements of mechanical/electrical/acoustic systems will make the work more meaningful and interesting. Most tools will use MATLAB scripts or GUIs.
Skills: MATLAB programming; MS Office familiarity; UI experience would be helpful; interest in music, audio, or loudspeakers is a definite plus.
Education/Class Requirements: The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate computer-savvy engineering student skilled in MATLAB, has familiarity with UI and data manipulation, and who is also familiar with engineering laboratory measurements. Requirements in rough order of priority: programming in general; MATLAB in particular; graphical user-interfaces; measurement techniques. A candidate majoring in Engineering Technology, Physics, or other technical field, and who has strong programming skills would also be considered.
