This opportunity is with a company in the Service industry. The Accounting Clerk position seeks an experienced candidate in the following tasks: matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / contract / contract / temporary to full-time employment opportunity based in the Londonderry, New Hampshire area.

Responsibilities

• Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
• Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
• Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
• Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
• Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
• Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
• Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
• Check Deposit experience desired
• Foundational knowledge in Daily Cash Receipts
• Strong familiarity with filing
• Command of Scanning Invoices
• Experience with high volume data entry
• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
• Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
• Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
