JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk (Part-Time)
LOCATION: Jeffersonville, IN
JOB SUMMARY: This individual is responsible for recording deposits and other accounting functions as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years minimum experience in medical office; accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deposits and Other Accounting Functions
- Review location batches for both Medical and Optical activity, submitted physically or remotely, in order to verify deposit accuracy
- Resolve batch issues with applicable team
- Post all deposits to QuickBooks daily
- Prepare bank deposits
- File batches for retention
- Destroy original electronic deposits per schedule
- Maintain filing and storage of deposits, daily bank activity, and credit card receipts
- All other duties as required
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position will work mornings, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently accesses all areas of the building. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
