The High-Power Electromagnetics Division (HPEM) team is at the forefront of radiated and conducted energy delivery systems from prime power to applications. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to grow, lead, and learn with talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-term programs and new programs supporting the DoD, DoE, and their contractors. The HPEM Division is looking for an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Information System Security Manager to support rapid Manufacturing activities in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Scope:
The primary function of this role is to serve as the site Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). The selectee will maintain compliance for all classified computer systems and classified networks in accordance with US Government standards such as (e.g. ICD 503, JSIG, DoD RMF, DIACAP, NISPOM, NIST 800 family and CNSSI 1253). The Information System Security Specialist will implement and maintain classified computer systems security plans in accordance with STIG and DSS system profiles. This individual will be called upon to perform weekly audits, support information assurance training programs, maintain security documentation, assist in security violation investigations, and assist with other aspects of security as required. Support will be provided in a Windows and LINUX/UNIX environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Must serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on system certifications and accreditation matters.
  • Point of contact for Information Assurance with government and prime contractor inquires and concerns.
  • Providing review of customer required security plans to include AIS, CONOPS, OPSEC, standard practices and procedures.
  • Interfacing with program management ensuring compliance with established program security plans and customer directives.
  • Managing RMF Authorization schedules and ensuring renewal of annual Authorization to Operate
  • Developing and administering users' security briefings to ensure all users are aware of all SSP requirements.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and documenting all AIS and other equipment ensuring compliance with red/black engineering and Emanations Security requirements.
  • Performing self-inspections and investigations as required by government regulations.
  • Participating in customer audits and inspections.
  • Researching software to be used on classified systems coordinating the use as required by customer regulations.
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and verifying AIS disaster recovery/contingency plans assuring the rapid recovery of AIS in the event of an emergency or disaster.
  • Managing IAVMs patching program providing weekly status updates to managing organization.
  • Developing, revising and maintaining Plan of Action and Milestones documentation (POAMs).
  • Aligning and coordinating patching and hardening efforts to complement production schedules.
  • Developing, revising and maintaining continuous monitoring plans – schedule frequency and manning.
  • Developing, revising and maintaining all system information security related policies and procedures.
  • Preparing customer reports in a timely manner.
  • Learning and conducting COMSEC responsibilities.
  • Ensuring audit trails are reviewed periodically, (e.g., weekly or daily) and audit records are archived for future reference.
  • Conducting periodic security awareness programs procedures and trainings.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree: (BA/BS) in Business, Computer Science or equivalent educations or equivalent industry experience required
  • 7+ years of related experience is required
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain DoD 8570 certification IAM Level II or III (one of the following CISSP or Associate, CISM, GSLC) within 6- 8 months of employment
  • Experience with various information system security assessment/hardening tools - DISA STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, HBSS, Retina, Nessus, Splunk, etc.
  • Very strong written, spoken, analytical, and customer support skills
  • Occasional travel, up to 25%
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills to ensure proper continuity in classified environment ensuring security implementation meets government requirements
  • Active Top Secret security clearance

Preferred:
  • Networking configuration support - active directory, LDAP, Unix, basic Cisco
  • Systems Administration experience
  • CISSP
