Newaygo County Mental Health is currently seeking THREE Home-Based Mental Health Clinicians within our Youth Services Team for our family-centered treatment program. The Home-Based position will provide intensive, home-based services to families. Thorough knowledge and background in family dynamics, child development, and intervention with family and community systems are essential. These individuals must be skilled, resourceful, energetic, and possess strong verbal/written communication skills, and proficient computer skills. Ability to work with frequent interruptions, as well as ability to prioritize and function independently.

The Home-Based Clinician is responsible for providing direct and indirect clinical services of a therapeutic nature and support coordination to families with children having mental illness and/or emotional impairments within the Youth Services team. These services may be one or more of the following: screening and triage, assessment, referral, group, individual and family counseling on a short term basis, utilizing eclectic modes of practice, including person and family centered therapy and brief solution focused therapy.

Additional duties may include behavioral assessment, treatment planning, monitoring and advocacy, case coordination services, medical consultation, transportation arrangements when appropriate, crisis intervention and other duties which may be needed to provide support coordination services. These children will require extensive support, monitoring and follow up in order to remain in their own homes, achieve age appropriate developmental goals, and to become integrated into normal community activities. The position requires the ability to provide/teach basic problem solving and social skills, which would help consumers deal with difficult behavior in the home and to be more effective at finding and using natural, community supports. This includes assisting with some or all of the following: housing, financial problems, nutrition, accessing medical care, transportation, recreation, and work related issues. Additionally, this staff will coordinate services between various agencies, i.e., schools, DHS, Court, etc., to meet the needs of children and families.

Will consider Master Level Candidates with appropriate state licensure: LLPC, LPC, LLP, LLMSW, or LMSW; and valid Michigan driver's license. Salary range is $57,000 - $70,700 based on licensure and experience with excellent benefits. Newaygo County Mental Health is an approved National Health Service Core site (NHSC is a loan repayment program). NCMH also has their own tuition reimbursement and loan reimbursment plan. EOE.
