Youth Care Workers - Full & Part-time Job at Nehemiah Project
Experience and Education:
The ideal candidate will have strength in working with adjudicated youth, have excellent written and verbal skills and 2 years of experience working with youth in a group home setting.
Excellent de-escalation techniques
Experience in transitional living facilities
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Ability to work well with our clients and their families
Great judgement and decision-making skills
Ability to manage time effectively and to prioritize duties
Knowledge of the juvenile justice system and court preferred
Problem Solving, conflict resolution and other training desirable
Experience in youth employment training programs desirable
