Underage Buyer (Secret Shopper) Pay: $16.39- $17.98/hour Depending on the Area you are assigned to work in.
Candidates must be between the ages 18-20 since these positions are for underage buyers. This will be a part time position, approx 20 hours per week

Job Overview:

As an Young Adult Tobacco Inspector (secret shopper), you will accompany a Oregon Tobacco Retail License Program Compliance Specialists to perform non-confrontational tobacco retail compliance checks to ensure that the sale of these products to minors is restricted. Candidates who are selected will go into the retail establishment and attempt to purchase a specific tobacco product as pre-determined by the inspector. Ideal candidates will be confident, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking law enforcement experience.

Young Adult Tobacco Inspector:

Schedule varies – will work around school schedule, please call for more information.

Job Duties:

• Traveling to assigned store locations (accompanied by inspector)
• Remaining discreet while you pose as a regular customer
• Interacting with employees in person to gauge customer service policies
• Document the inspection results, cash handling and evidence collection
• Purchasing specific items to assess if/how policies are being upheld
• Retaining receipts as proof of purchase for later reimbursement
• Compile and collect inspection data for analysis and reporting

Secret Shopper Qualifications:

• Must have a current state issued identification card or driver license
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must be ages 18-20
• Memorization abilities
• Organized, flexible disposition
• Attentive to detail
• Ability to conduct duties discreetly and impartially
