Title: Compliance Reporting Workers Compensation Analyst-Claims-Hybrid-Remote (Ohio) (38614)
Term: Temp to Hire and potentially to go remote Full Time/ 2 days a week in office. (Potentially to go Fully remote).
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Hybrid/Remote)
Salary: 65K Plus per year
Hours: 7:30 am-4:30 pm OR 8:00 am-5:00 pm
*Candidate needs to have at least 1 - 5 years in workers’ compensation experience on the business side with a focus on regulatory requirements & compliance.
We are looking for a compliance analyst to support regulatory reporting of Workers’ Compensation claims. Initial responsibilities will be to support the USR reporting process and EDI process. This role can expand into other areas of compliance/reporting and other internal projects.
Description:
- Unit statistical reporting (USR)
In support of the remediation of loss errors, this position would be the central point of contact for receipt of errors and submission of corrections. Responsibilities would include: Review errors for appropriate assignmentDisseminate errors to responsible claims offices/personnelReview responses to ensure proper resolution prior to submissionPartner with the Statistical Reporting team and vendor to troubleshoot system related issues
- EDI Reporting of Workers’ Compensation claims
Act as backup resource for resolving EDI errorsPartner with business analyst to develop knowledge of current EDI processesAssume responsibility for producing reports of EDI resultsDevelop expertise in working with vendor BI tool for further developing EDI results
- Develop subject matter expertise in our claims administration system specific to compliance reporting needs.
- Participate in QA/user acceptance testing of changes that affect data required for regulatory reporting.
- Develop a training program/documentation to assist claims technical staff in data required for compliance reporting.
- Research state specific reporting requirements as needed in support of error remediation and ongoing training.
- Track and trend errors to target ongoing training needs and potential system enhancements
- Support process workflows and systems development to ensure a compliant workers’ compensation product.
- Conduct root cause analysis of new errors that occur or where the volume has increased.
- Work with our Home Office WC consultants to understand definitions of business scenarios (often, state specific) that affect compliance reporting.
- Identify and escalate non-compliant areas as appropriate to management.
Skills/Experience:
- 1 - 5 years in workers’ compensation on the business side with a focus on regulatory requirements & compliance
- Excellent analytical skills, including problem solving, conducting root cause analysis, and compiling data and reports
- Must be detailed oriented and organized with a focus on accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with our claims staff and management, our vendor partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Expertise in understanding data, reports, workflows, and upfront admin systems
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Highly skilled in usage of MS Office - Excel
