Job Title: Window & Door Service Technician Department: Marvin Design - Portland

Reports to: Marvin Design Gallery Manager Effective Date: September 2022

Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for providing quality service visits to customers to inspect, repair and adjust Marvin products in the field. The Service Technician will diagnose product issues in the field, determine and perform the correct resolution and communicate accordingly with customers and the internal service team. The position is responsible for ensuring all customer service calls are completed timely, accurate and efficiently while maintaining a customer-focused attitude.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Perform and complete service tasks as assigned on Marvin/Millwork products in the field.

· Problem solve and diagnose difficult issues in the field.

· Replace glass in windows and doors, install items such as sashes, door panels, screens and SDL bar.

· Provide customers with helpful information on care, operation and maintenance of their products.

· Document and update all required service-related documentation following service visits so that additional service can be scheduled and/or billing and close out service can be completed.

· Collect payments from customers on an as needed basis.

· Identify and order parts for follow up service calls as needed and coordinate with the internal Service Team as necessary.

· Maintain stock of popular parts and equipment on a regular basis.

· Load and unload service van in preparation for service on job sites

· Ladder and staging work may be required at times as well as working cooperatively with another technician on specific jobs that require two technicians.

· Serve as a Customer Experience Ambassador for the company.

· Aid in training of new technicians, service coordinator and team members as requested.

· Seek out continuous improvement opportunities via training and suggestive changes to the service process.

· Meet company safety requirements by keeping work areas clean and neat, following safety precautions and utilizing protective equipment when needed.

· Comply with company fleet policy.

· Other tasks are assigned by the Marvin Design Gallery Manager.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Provide top level customer experience.

· Completes work in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

· Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency and quality.

· Ability to independently problem solve and make recommendations for solutions.

· Ability to learn software programs from Microsoft office to various quoting, ordering and tracking software.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma/GED

· Must have a valid driver license

Physical Requirements:

· Regularly required to stand, walk and drive long distances.

· Ability to sit, stoop or crouch.

· Lift/move up to 100 lbs or more with assistance.

· Ability to load and unload service van
