Wash Bay Attendant Job at GOLDEN QUEEN MINING COMPANY LLC
Description:Golden Queen Mining Company, LLC (the “Company”) is operating a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property (the “Project”), located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore. This is a safety sensitive position.
The Company is seeking a Wash Bay Attendant to clean equipment, clean and maintain wash bay, as well as general labor duties around shop area.
The Wash Bay Attendant will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Washing and cleaning the exterior of large and small equipment as well as light vehicles
- Care and maintenance of all wash rack related equipment
- General housekeeping – in and around the wash rack
- Reporting any new damages to supervisor
- Ensures that GQMC safety policies, standards, and procedures are followed to achieve a safe work environment and safety for all GQMC employees and visitors
- Moving equipment onto wash rack as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:Requirements:
- The candidate will be a self-starter with high work standards that can take and follow direction as needed;
- Willing and able to do shift work as needed;
- Able to climb and lift 50lbs;
- Have a good understanding of lubrication i.e. greases and oils, their properties and proper applications.
- Driver’s license required
- High school diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.60 per hour
