Warehouse Specialist Job at LION Vallen Industries
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Perform a full range of warehousing activities, to include, but not limited to the management of combat gear and equipment (Personal Gear Issue/PGI) material, receiving, storing, issuing, reconstitution, sewing/tailoring (as required by location), inventorying and shipping bulk and individual PGI materials and equipment
- Conducts accurate packing and shipping of PGI material
- Receiving and filling customer orders
- Picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
- Loading and unloading of materials and products as needed
- Organizing inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 year experience in performing warehouse duties, such as packing, shipping, receiving, filling customer orders, picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
- Experience using Warehouse Management System for inventory management and control
- Experience managing workload for multiple warehouse operations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Understanding of inventory control systems
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 30 lbs, bending and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to operate a variety of tools
- Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices

- Must pass a federal background check for federal installation access.
