- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring that the production and distribution are managed and performing efficiently, effectively and safely. • Manage production and staff schedules based on equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand and to ensure maximum service and production quality • Oversee inventory, ensuring dept receives and records new inventory as it is delivered and processed; inspects and stores it according to policy. • Perform daily inspections of the physical warehouse to identify safety hazards/deficiencies and take immediate action to correct. • Oversee troubleshooting of problems of equipment and maintenance to ensure problem until resolved.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment. • Ensures that products are identified, weighed, labeled, and warehoused correctly. • Evaluate performance of production staff and assess qualifications of applicants for hire. • Foster a strong, collaborative, and positive culture • Ensure team perform daily, weekly, and monthly operator preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for safety and environmental issues regarding the assigned area, i.e. Material handling of material, equipment use, proper protective gear, and proper safe practices. • Facilitate weekly safety meeting and toolbox talk to communicate any safety ideas or concerns that you may have, educate employees how they can do their job safer, and solicit workplace improvement ideas. • Complete incident reports by identifying what happened, the root cause and take the appropriate corrective action.
- Strong understanding of computer controls and logic to adjust cutting speeds/pressure gauges. • Ability to demonstrate leadership and develop programs to enhance skill level of employees. • Ability to multitask effectively based upon priorities. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to review production schedules and technical specifications and identify errors. • High level of attention to detail. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to traverse the production facility. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
