Summary

This person must have great attention to detail and good mathematical skills and willing to communicate frequently with others. Warehouse Associates may be responsible for handling loose freight, loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting of products in a distribution center/warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other associates and productively with little supervision. Following company safety policies and procedures is of great importance to this position.

Duties:

· Responsible for verifying both inbound and outbound inventory by recording on paper or using a scanner

· Ensure load accuracy at check in and check out by physically counting.

· Maintain required records

· Visually inspect all incoming and outgoing vehicles (including climbing onto truck and manually opening bay doors)

· Provide labor needed to receive, store and ship all in and outbound materials

· Provide labor to prepare for outbound shipments – setting dock plates, strapping, reworking, banding and securing materials

· Maintain housekeeping by completing all necessary sanitation tasks

Requirements:

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must be able to perform duties in a warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons.

· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

· Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

· Able to work overtime when needed

· Willingness to be cross trained on equipment and functions

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

· Prior warehouse / inventory / production experience preferred.

• Basic computer skills/ability to use handheld scanner is preferred
