Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the President/CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources (Chief People Officer) is responsible for developing and executing the organizations human resource strategy in support of its overall business objectives, specifically in the areas of culture building, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development and compensation.

This position is directly responsible for leading the staff within the Human Resources department.

Manages staff and is responsible for departmental employment, training, performance management, and salary administration activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the companys mission and strategic vision.
- Working with Community and Corporate leadership, the CPO designs system-wide programs, initiatives and processes to best meet the business outcomes of the organization.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each Community and corporate office regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Work with the company's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Evaluates trends using industry benchmarks and people data to develop policies and procedures and strategies in conjunction with management.
- Monitors the effectiveness of human resources initiatives and ensures they are reviewed periodically to respond to changing environments or needs.
- Serves as a technical expert in one or more human resources specialties.
- Networks with organizational leadership to better understand the human resources issues and needs of their diverse business units to create an inviting and cohesive employee experience.
- Ensures employment, compensation, employee relations, affirmative action, and benefits practices comply with organizational, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Works with management and staff to ensure fair and consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
- Prepares, administers, and monitors departmental budgets.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A related master's degree is preferred.
- Ten years of professional experience in one or more relevant human resources specialties such as benefits, compensation, workforce development or employment, which includes five years of progressive experience.
- Requires the ability to analyze information to recommend resolutions to complex problems and strategic challenges.
Skills Required
- Strong organizational skills, high skill level in customer services, effective presentation skills,
- Detail oriented, meet service level agreements and provides high level of support to the organization and applicants.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication, listening, instructional writing and thinking skills
- Must be able to travel to various communities in Georgia. Must have reliable transportation and valid Drivers License.
