We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic communications and public affairs specialist to join our Corporate Affairs team in a brand new role based in New York, commencing in January 2023.

The British Airways’ Corporate Affairs team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled public relations and public affairs specialist to lead its operation in the Americas. This new role will require a focus on generating awareness of the airline’s brand profile through building relationships with key stakeholders from media to government to business, and delivering powerful and engaging content through public relations and social media.

You’ll develop a Communications plan to promote the airline, and have the skills to defend its reputation. You’ll also create a Government Affairs strategy in the US to make sure we’re fully connected.

At the same time you’ll be making sure colleagues are in the loop and engaged in everything that’s happening around the business through your key role leading on internal communications in the US.

The role will have the support of the PR Manager, Americas and reports into our Director of Communications based in London.

Salary range is $136,631 - $204,947.

The British Airways Corporate Affairs team is a creative and dynamic team, driving the awareness and reputation of British Airways around the world. When issues arise, you will be expected to take the lead in managing high profile, sensitive national news issues and lead crisis communications.
