Position Summary:

The VP of Portfolio Product Management will be responsible for driving the success of Rhapsody’s entire product portfolio (including existing and new offerings) by overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of our product roadmap. This role will require working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure alignment with our company goals and vision.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define the value proposition for the collection of products and services that form Rhapsody's Interoperability Suite
  • Define use cases and roadmap for Rhapsody's Interoperability Suite
  • Oversee all product roadmaps to ensure individual products are successful while coordinating product roadmaps to align on an integrated value proposition across the portfolio
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape and use this information to inform product portfolio decisions
  • Develop business plans including investments needed for the Interoperability Suite and lead product managers to implement business plan practices for all products and their investments
  • Lead and manage the product management team, including hiring, coaching, and setting the direction and priorities for the team
  • Define and implement product management processes and best practices
  • Collect inputs, expectations, and requirements from multiple stakeholders including customers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Prioritize product development initiatives for existing products and emerging technologies based on market demand, business objectives, and resource availability
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Strategy team on the portfolio strategy including evaluation of build vs. buy decisions
  • Manage the product portfolio lifecycle for all offerings including pricing, product performance tracking, and service requirements
  • Communicate product portfolio vision and priorities to co-workers and collaborate with Marketing to create materials for sharing with customers and prospects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Wide and diverse expertise in the healthcare information technology industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product portfolio strategies that drive growth and profitability
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and senior management
  • Passion for improving healthcare outcomes through innovative technology solutions
  • Understanding of product management best practices within an agile development organization
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing and developing a team
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
