The core working hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

The hourly wage is $18.09

This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

INTRODUCTION Responsible to the Project Manager/Assistant Manager for the performance of assigned custodial and maintenance duties at the contract site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Maintains the loading dock in a neat and orderly condition daily.

*2. Operates the compactor as needed. *

3 Performs general cleaning tasks such as emptying trash, emptying recycling, policing grounds, glass cleaning, vacuuming, wall washing, spot cleaning, sweeping, and mopping floors and stairs.

• 4. Assists Maintenance Tradesman as needed.

• 5. Maintains issued equipment.

• 6. Notifies supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.

• 7. Assists in the set-up/arrangement of conference rooms.

• 8. Watches out for safety and fire hazards and reports them promptly or takes direct action to eliminate them.

• 9. Assists other maintenance personnel in maintaining an efficient facility operation.

• 10. Assists Building Manager and/or building tenant as requested.

• 11. Other duties as assigned by Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

The incumbent must be able to stand 85% of the work time. He/she must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds in order to clean work areas and handle supplies and equipment. He/she must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and handle. All of these requirements are necessary for using ladders and stairs, cleaning low areas, high areas, bench and corners. He/she must be able to communicate with all staff, consumer and public. He/she must have good vision and hearing, as use of power equipment and compactor operation is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a High school diploma or equivalent, able to read and write. Must be able to work with hands and work around power equipment. Ability to satisfactorily complete medical exam.
