Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates scrubbing; sweeping; waste collecting, keeping working areas in production, warehouse and office areas in clean and orderly condition and operate cardboard and plastics balers while adhering to all, (EHS), Environment, Health and Safety rules, the Company’s Core Values and Code of Conduct. Works in a team environment and High Performance Culture. Work as Production Finisher, Material Handler or other department positions as needed.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: (not to be considered all inclusive)
Daily
- Clean/Sanitize and mop all restrooms
- Clean/Sanitize all wash stations
- Clean/Sanitize all door handles plant wide
- Clean/Sanitize all water fountain stations
- Clean/Sanitize and mop break room and outside break area
- Replenish hair and beard nets and ear plugs
- Remove trash in plants, maintenance shop and offices
- Operate cardboard and plastic balers as needed
Weekly
- Clean yellow safety rails plant wide
- Check and refill toilet paper and hand towel dispensers
- Clean and mop offices
- Use floor scrubber in Zones 1, 2 & 3
- Clean eye wash stations
- Clean stairs and rails leading to upstairs offices
- Pick up trash in parking lot, front ditch, all around building, including Compactor and Cardboard/Plastic balers
- Collect all recycle paper from blue receptacles and shredders from offices and dispose
- Collect recycle cardboard from front office supply room
- Recycle aluminum cans inside and outside Break Room and Training Room
- Ensure all items for Health Inspection Audits are completed.
Monthly
- Active member of the Safety Committee – conduct safety audits
- Clean dust from tops and front of all employee lockers
- Clean and dust all corners around supply racks east and northeast
- Clean employee entrance and front entrance glass windows
- Clean courtyard
When Required:
- Mop floor due to spills or roof leaks
- Painting projects
- Build 5S Boards
- Keep all floors clean with floor scrubber in production, breezeways, and all warehouses prior to health inspections or food safety audits
- Clean all exterior windows
- Other duties as assigned
COMMON WORK DEVICES:
Gloves, box cutter, forklift, floor scrubber
OTHER WORK AIDS USED:
Safety shoes, glasses, earplugs where required
ESSENTIAL DEMANDS:
- Stand constant up to 2 hours at a time for up to 8 hrs/shift
- Walk constantly up to 20 ft at a time
- Handle and grasp constantly
- Pinch or grip occasionally
- Reach 35”– 39” height and overhead occasionally
- Reach down 13” occasionally
- Summer temperatures can reach 100+ degrees
