**THIS ROLE IS LOCATED ALONG THE OREGON COAST **
We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for a Assistant Residential Treatment Program Manager to join one of our community mental health providers!
This position will be required to perform a variety of services in the inpatient setting and will provide direct services to the Residential/Respite clients and program. The Assistant Manager supervises the staff in conjunction with the Program Manager and will be responsible for ensuring staffing patterns are adequate for the population being served. This position will monitor and ensure that all admission and discharge paperwork is complete.
The Assistant Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating schedules and working with HR to post and hire additional staff when needed at the direction of the Program Manager.
Essential Duties include but not limited to:
- Supervise staff assigned.
- Complete and monitor staff schedule to ensure shifts are covered.
- Complete the weekly Residential Capacity Report and submit to OHA.
- Educate referral sources about program admissions process and eligibility requirements.
- Gather referral information for the program manager. Document contacts with referral sources and decisions regarding admissions.
- Monitor and ensure that all the admission paperwork is completed properly before admission. Ensure regular contact with referents to make sure all necessary documentation is present in the admission packet.
- Collect and examine medication orders for potential clients to ensure they are correct, work with referent to have any errors fixed before admission.
- Ensure that medical clearance has been completed, including TB test, prior to admission.
- Run insurance verification (MMIS) prior to the date of admission.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager all admissions.
- Communicate with Staff regarding new admission.
- Complete residential/respite admit packet to ensure completion and updates, as needed.
- Monitor and assist with client admissions and discharges.
- Complete discharge interview with client and review discharge paperwork with clients at time of discharge.
- Input data of new client into CareLogic and close each file upon discharge.
- Schedule, monitor and participate in regular team and agency meetings.
- Complete and maintain all documents, Residential staff on-site records, and client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules and Quality Assurance standards established.
- Track staff training and keep personnel files up to date.
- Assist manager with hiring new staff.
- Manage and provide new hire training and monitor ongoing training needs.
- Manage and approve timecards for payroll including punch change request and PTO
- Monitor Staff’s productivity including billable notes and documentation per standards.
- Will maintain productivity in keeping with agency expectations and standards. This includes timely discharges and termination of cases.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
- Assist staff with crisis situations.
- Assist with facility maintenance/ concerns, purchase orders, tracking, gathering receipts, and logging expenses
- The ability to remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university or ability to be a QMHA.
- At least 3 years of experience working with people who have serious mental illness.
- At least 1 year of experience supervising others
- Ability to implement Oregon Administrative Rules for Residential Treatment Facilities
- Valid Driver’s license
- Ability to insured under agency vehicle policy
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral Science field
- Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules for Residential
