Full Job Description

Position Overview

A Moore Community House Early Head Start (EHS) Teacher encourages the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children ages 0-3 and is responsible for their safety and welfare. Our EHS teachers, along with families and colleagues, work to achieve meaningful progress of each child along his/her own unique developmental path. Responsibilities, include implementing the curriculum, preparing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, implementing family style dining, classroom management, individual child observations, conducting screening, maintaining records, making home visits, and scheduling and completing parent teacher conferences. Additionally, individuals in this position are responsible for obtaining outcome measures information to ensure that all policy, procedures and guidelines are maintained to include local, state and Federal CFR 45 parts 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304 and 1305 definitions, 1302 School Readiness.

To qualify, applicants must have:

-A High School Diploma or GED (Required)

-A CDA credential or an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (Preferred)

-FBI Background Check, or be able to successfully obtain a FBI Background Check (Required)

-COVID-19 Vaccination (Required)

-Preferably, one year of experience in a childcare facility working with infants and toddlers

Physical Demands

**Description of the specific job duties requiring the physical demands are as follows: The classroom environment requires staff to be active and engaged with children, which includes standing, moving about, sitting on the floor, crouching to talk to children at their eye level, etc. Lifting infants, toddlers can result in lifting and/or carrying a child weighing as much as 60 pounds.**

Pay: $10.83 - $15.00 per hour
