Administers and supervises teller functions for the IAA Credit Union (IAACU). Supervises assigned staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality member services.

This position is based out of our corporate office in Bloomington, IL five days per week.

How does a Teller Supervisor make an impact?

  • Provides supervisory leadership for assigned staff, including employment, training, supervision, support and ongoing performance feedback. Establishes and manages the teller schedule.
  • Establishes, maintains and grows member relationships in order to continually provide credit union solutions that meet member needs. Works to resolve member issues and process feedback.
  • Oversees the customer service provided to members and provides feedback as needed.
  • Oversees accurate and efficient service in the processing of transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments and cash advances. Oversees the accurate balance of cash, checks and foreign currency transactions.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of a full range of credit union products and services in order to support tellers in answering member questions and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Oversees the administration of the credit union’s automated teller machines (ATMs).
  • Serves as back-up to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Patriot Act Officer. Administers BSA reporting.
  • Assists with oversight of security functions, including providing after-hours support in the event of an alarm.
  • Manages miscellaneous credit union services (e.g., gift cards, bulk coin, safety deposit boxes, money orders, license plate stickers, stamps). Maintains related inventory and loss prevention procedures.
  • Exercises professional leadership by keeping abreast of current trends, developments, technology and opportunities within field of responsibility.
  • Fosters the highest level of commitment among our people through transparent communication about business challenges, successes, and results.
  • Creates an environment which encourages people to think, behave, act and control work, and make decisions autonomously to attain clear goals.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including strong customer service skills.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to develop and motivate others, resolve conflict, delegate effectively and lead change.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize efficiently, establish priorities and attend to details.
  • Computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency with front end customer facing banking security operations.
  • Familiarity with BSA banking operations.
  • This is a leadership role, which typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
