Essential Functions:
- Under supervision, and after successful training, operate, maintain, and repair digital RF systems, microwave and serial communication data systems, subsystems and Wide Area Network Interface Units (WANIUs).
- Configure and operate computer operated systems like WANIUs.
- Assist with daily tasks and with troubleshooting technical problems.
Required Skills:
- Good record keeping and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with a trainer
- Ability to read and interpret information from technical manuals, schematics, procedures, and to communicate this information to co-workers.
- Ability to learn from experienced Microwave Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Required Experience:
- High School or equivalent diploma.
- Zero to two years electronics or related technical experience
- Knowledge of basic electronic principles are highly desired.
- Basic understanding of communication and telemetry systems. Knowledge of multiplexers, radios and fiber optic transmission equipment, preferred.
- Basic computer operation and software skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Ability to occasionally lift or move 50 pounds.
- The flexibility to work non-duty hours, weekends or holidays, in support of launch operations or to respond to facility alarms with little notice.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
- Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine. Requests for medical or religious accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
- Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- This job is not eligible for telecommuting.
- This position is assigned to Vandenberg, California.

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $23.77 to $29.67. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
