Compensation:
The compensation for this full-time position in the US is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 (DOE) + discretionary bonus. The range may vary based on factors such as location, job-related skills, experience, and education. Benefits are available to all full-time employees working at least 30 hours per week. Job Summary
The Technical Designer will be responsible for leading the technical design process for a product line, ensuring that all garments meet company standards for fit, construction, and quality. This position will support our Academy Girl's
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design and development teams to create and maintain technical packages using PLM system
- Ensure all garments meet fit and construction standards through the use of fit models, fit sessions, and technical sketches
- Communicate with overseas vendors to ensure garments are constructed correctly and to resolve any issues that arise during production
- Provide technical expertise to design and development teams to ensure garments are properly engineered
- Develop and maintain technical design standards and guidelines
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in technical design for apparel
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
- Experience working with overseas vendors and managing production
- Experience with PLM systems - Centric Preferred
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and other technical design software
