Job Purpose:
To ensure proper user support so as to drive accomplishment of business tasks. To apply technical expertise in one or more IT disciplines to support organizational needs.

Major Responsibilities:
Technical Support Responsibilities include:
  • Train Help Desk personnel as needed
  • Prioritize and schedule technical support needs to adhere to expected service levels
  • Provide escalated user support as needed
  • Provide on-call user support when necessary
  • Analyze existing equipment and software to determine the need for patches, upgrades, and components to ensure an up-to-date system that is supportable
  • Develop, discuss, and implement process improvements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills related to network and office technology
  • Provide orientation and training to users as needed
Operations Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure morning opening and batch runs processed as scheduled
  • Run mid-day batches and print jobs
  • Run special on-demand scripts
  • Ensure scheduler remains running throughout the day for order processing

Education and Experience:
  • AS or BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related equivalent, preferred
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience
  • Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve computer technical problems
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Flexibility for on-call availability is required
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Very strong ability to present information in an understandable way and respond to questions from within and outside the organization
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize work
  • Strong ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others
