GeoLogics is working directly with the hiring manager for this exciting opportunity to further the advancement of cutting-edge technology that support some of the top-notch US defense/intelligence services and systems with one of our major defense industry clients. This is a long-term contract position (12 months) with potential for conversion to full time. Due to being in the defense industry, this position requires US Citizenship.
Max hourly rate $30.00 on w2, C2C is not available.

Description/Comment:
The Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) Program is seeking a Distribution Technician at the STARS Material Center (SMC) in Merrimack, NH. The Distribution Technician sets up and initiates semi-automatic test stations. Performs assembly, test and troubleshooting of materials and field returns in accordance with engineering drawings or manufacturing instructions. Adds Firmware as required. Inventories and palletizes hardware and segregates non-conforming and questionable material for review, analysis, and disposition. Performs assembly and fabrication of a variety of wired frames and computer boards.
In addition, the Distribution Technician will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Working with computer-based software applications to test various electronic boards or assemblies
- Works to verbal, written, video, computer instructions, schematics, process sheets and assembly drawings to test, assemble and inspect a wide variety of material
- Receives, counts, inventories parts and material.
- Segregates non-conforming material
- Prepares all shipping documents and maintains electronic databases
- Pulls raw material and computer boards and prepares for assembly
- Performs assembly and fabrication of wired frames and installation of computer boards
- Working knowledge of PRISM or other MRP systems
- Performs general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment
- Maintains records, moves material, and follows safety rules in performance of duties
- Performs other similar duties as required or directed
- Design and print labels for production use
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm 5/40

Additional Job Details:
The Distribution Tech will also be responsible for interfacing with the manufacturing engineering teams with regard to progress, issues and potential resolution.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written, are required to effectively work with internal and external personnel
- Ethical behavior, a positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential to success in this position
- Professional and comfortable working with peers and management
- Team player, willing to work in a cross-team environment
- Self-starter that requires little supervision and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed oriented and efficient
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Familiarity of fundamental electronics
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Six Sigma Certification
- PRISM Experience
- Required Education (including Major): HS diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3-4 years' experience
